NOW OPEN FOR REGISTRATIONS
The sixth and seventh round of the FIM Bajas World Cup and the Atacama International Rally for motorcycles and cars is underway. Registration is open for all competitors, with special rates offered for early sign-up.
This year, the Atacama Rally is part of the “Road To Dakar” circuit and will offer a unique event through the incredible landscapes of the mythical Atacama Desert, at the Tarapacá Región, where we will experience a rally above all a breathtaking and challenging, which will offer its competitors a permanent battle in every kilometer of the way
A very special 2022 edition; retaking the passion for the Cross Country Rally after two years of pandemic so that all cross-country rally lovers can regain the passion and adrenaline that in 2020 we were forced to stop.
A challenge open to all, inserted in the sixth and seventh rounds of the FIM Bajas World Cup and with an international character that will allow all competitors of Cross-Country Rally to be welcomed; Professionals and amateurs will be welcomed under the same registration conditions in order to allow them to strengthen their return to the routes.
For the SSV category, the Atacama Rally will be part of the Road To Dakar circuit, allowing a Rookie driver to obtain a free registration for the Dakar 2023. Along with this, the category will compete in the Codasur-FIA SSV Cup, while in the motorcycle category and Quads, along with being part of the FIM-LA Latin American, will be a qualifying event to ensure their registration for the Dakar 2023 for riders who have never run in this race.
This year, the race will take place in the Tarapacá Region, based in the Iquique City and as is traditional the five stages will be in a loop system, with a single Bivouac which improves logistics for all teams.
For bikes and quads, riders may choose to compete on the rounds of the FIM Bajas World Cup with two events inserted in the race or in the Atacama International Rally with 5 legs and more than 1700km of special sections.
For both events, the Atacama Rally offers its competitors an incredible desert landscape, discovering unimagined places and demanding routes that make it the greatest motorcycling challenge of the Americas.
The consolidation of the SSV
Faced with the constant evolution that the SSV category is having, Atacama Rally has designed a perfect plan to incorporate this constantly evolving segment as an independent category. The high level of the Atacama routes provides competitors with an excellent race and a high-performance experience across different terrains.
